The Rink at BFPLNov 2025 - Mar 2026

Glide into the season at The Rink at Brookfield Place— a 7,350 square-foot outdoor ice skating experience— reopening mid-November on the scenic Waterfront Plaza. Skaters can take in sweeping views of the Hudson River and New York City skyline while enjoying one of downtown’s most picturesque ice rinks. Led by former U.S. Olympic skaters, 2025-2026 programming will include public skating, private lessons, intro to hockey for kids, corporate events, and festive fun!

Free Holiday EventsNov 22 - Dec 25

Enjoy a variety of free, family-friendly events at Brookfield Place this holiday season. You can visit the HAPPENINGS page for more details on each of these experiences.

  • KEITH MICHAEL’S THE NUTCRACKER (Nov 22 & 23): Experience three ticketed performances of The Nutcracker set to Tchaikovsky’s cherished score and presented by New York Theatre Ballet. Advance registration tickets are SOLD OUT, but walk-ins will be accommodated, if space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. 
  • SELFIES WITH SANTA (Nov 28 – Dec 24): everyone’s invited to Holiday Under the Palms at Brookfield Place to capture a complimentary selfie with the jolly old man in red. Plus, on select dates, you can bring your pup in for a fur-tastic photo op with Santa!
  • HOLIDAY HARMONIES (Dec 2, 9 & 16): Celebrate the holiday season with this concert series featuring talented musicians performing a variety of seasonal favorites during lunchtime on Tuesdays from 12-1PM. Musicians include Mafer Bandola and Friends, Troy Simms, and Brooklyn Klezmer Trio.
  • MILK & COOKIES (Dec 15 – 24): Visit the Winter Garden for a festive treat! Each day at 4:30 PM, a surprise “Cookie of the Day” will be revealed from one of Brookfield Place eateries, paired with milk to make it extra merry. Available first-come, first-served while supplies last – so get there early!
